About Us

We are an NHS general practice providing care for patients across 14 local sites in central Scotland. We were founded in 2014 in Maryhill, Glasgow. Each practice is part of its own community, with familiar GPs, nurses, and staff, while also benefiting from the support and stability of a larger organisation. Details of our local teams are displayed on our in-house screen system.

We work closely with NHS Health Boards and local practices to make sure services remain safe, accessible, and sustainable. By working together, we are able to protect local care while improving how services are delivered.

Our practices are located across Glasgow, West Lothian, and Edinburgh. While each site serves its own community, you may notice that our practices look and feel similar. This is intentional. We believe that a welcoming, well-designed environment supports better care for patients and a better working environment for staff.

We believe general practice needs to change to meet the needs of today’s patients. That means improving access, offering choice, and making it easier to get the right help at the right time.

We are proud to support the training of future healthcare professionals. Our practices regularly welcome medical students and nursing students, and we teach postgraduate doctors, helping to secure the future of NHS care.

Above all, our focus is on providing safe, high-quality, compassionate care—now and in the years ahead.

What We Are Not

We are not a private practice.
We are not owned by a single person or company.
We are an NHS partnership, made up of local GPs working together to care for our communities.

We are an established NHS general practice partnership operating at scale across central Scotland. While our footprint is large, our model remains that of a traditional GP partnership, with local partners, nurses, and teams delivering care within their own communities.

Our experience has shown that scale, when used thoughtfully, creates opportunities rather than distance. It allows practices to remain clinically led and locally rooted, while benefiting from shared infrastructure, resilience, and expertise.

We have grown by working collaboratively with practices facing workload, staffing, or sustainability pressures, or by merging with like-minded practices. In all cases, the objective is the same: to protect patient care, support clinicians, and create a sustainable future for general practice.

We are open to working with anyone—open to merger discussions, open to sharing ideas or IT solutions, and open to supporting groups to start their own local group practices. We want change, and we want dialogue.

What Scale Enables

Operating at scale allows us to centralise routine administrative and operational functions, including:

  • Prescribing and medicines management

  • Document processing and registrations

  • Chronic disease management administration

  • Payroll, finance, and IT

  • HR advice and support

Routine work is broken down into defined streams and managed through central hubs. This reduces duplication, improves consistency, and allows clinical teams within practices to focus on clinical decision-making and patient care rather than administration. Productivity and service redesign are key.

Practices joining our organisation retain local leadership and clinical identity while benefiting from a professionally managed operational backbone.

Our Digital and Access Model

We recognised early that many existing GP online systems were poorly integrated, overly reliant on triage, and added complexity for both staff and patients. Rather than adopting a series of bolt-on solutions, we designed and implemented our own GP front-door system.

This system is built around patient choice rather than mandatory triage. Patients can select services, book appointments in advance, and access online requests where appropriate. Requests can be clinically reviewed and redirected if needed, without creating parallel systems for staff.

The platform replaces the traditional practice website while meeting all NHS requirements. It also functions as a patient portal and app-style access point. Fully integrated telephony allows text links to be sent to patients before or during contact, improving flow and reducing call demand.

Patient feedback has been consistently strong, with ratings around 4.4 out of 5, and approximately 30% of contacts are now managed digitally—without excluding those who prefer traditional access routes.

Operational Excellence Through Structure

Administrative teams are organised into small, specialist units operating from central hubs. Scale allows these teams to process work across multiple practices efficiently and safely.

We apply structured, single-task workflows to high-volume processes such as prescribing and chronic disease administration. This approach has delivered measurable improvements, including significant increases in electronic prescribing and reductions of over 50% in daily acute prescription requests, alongside faster turnaround times and fewer patient follow-ups.

Our finance function is fully centralised and professionally led, using modern accounting systems to support forecasting, cost control, and transparent reporting. This ensures financial sustainability and informed decision-making across the partnership.

A Partnership Approach

We are not a corporate provider and are not owned by a single individual or external organisation. We are a GP partnership operating within NHS structures, with multiple equity-sharing partners. All partners have an equal share and full voting rights. We operate through an elected executive board.

Practices working with us can expect:

  • Clinical leadership to remain central

  • Local identity and continuity of care to be preserved

  • Administrative burden to be reduced

  • Access to shared infrastructure, technology, and expertise

  • A collaborative approach to change and integration

We can also help solve property challenges by bringing practice property into the wider group structure.

We believe the future of general practice lies in partnership, scale, and intelligent redesign—while keeping patient care at the centre of every decision. Scale gives us a voice; mergers give us security.

If you would like to explore working with us, whether through shared services, phased collaboration, or merger, we would welcome an open and confidential discussion.
